ASSIGNMENT OF COMMISSIONS

CRITERIA

 

1. A promoter must contact the ABC President or a member of the ABC’s Assignment of Commissions committee, “Committee” to promote a boxing match in a state or on tribal land that does not have a boxing commission.

 

 

2. The Promoter must provide the Committee with the following information 20 days prior to the scheduled event:

• A. Application requesting the ABC to:

a. Assign a state or tribal boxing commission to regulate the boxing contests; or

b. Assign individual members of the ABC to regulate the boxing contest.

• B. Non-refundable fee of $500.

• C. Medical and Life Insurance policy – $10,000 per boxer minimum

• D. Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance – $25,000 minimum unless facility requires more.

• E. Copy of the lease with the facility where the event is to take place

including:

1. Copy of last fire inspection

2. Proof of proper locker rooms

3. Letter stating that the facility understands that

a. No bottled drinks, and

b. Only paper or plastic products may be used for drinks.

• F. Copy of the agreement with hired security which shall include

1. Number of security guards; and

2. Name of supervisor.

• G. Copy of agreement with an ambulance company.

• H. Letter stating the location of the nearest hospital which has a neurological trauma unit.

• I. Surety bond, or other form of security, in the

amount approved by the ABC.

• J. Specifics about event

1. Number of matches – Must have a minimum of 28 rounds and 5 bouts.

2. Names of each contestant, Date of Birth of each contestant, Federal ID, if each contestant and any other vital information requested by the Committee.

• K. Liability insurance coverage in the following minimum amounts (to be paid by the promoter):

1. Commission Representative __________________?

3. Weigh-In

• A. Must occur on the day before the event. A member of the committee

or a designee must be present for the weigh-in.

• B. Physical.

1. All boxers must submit negative test results for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV taken within six months prior to the event.

2. All boxers must pass a prefight physical to be eligible to participate.

 

 

4. Contracts.

• A. All Title Fight and under-card bout contracts must be submitted to the Committee ten days prior to the event. (WHAT ABOUT LAST MINUTE REPLACEMENTS.

• B. Payment to each boxer must be made in the form of a cashier’s check

and must be submitted to the Committee ten days prior to the event.

1. If the amount of the purse increases, the difference must be

forwarded to the Committee immediately.

2. If the purse decreases, the difference will be returned after the event.

 

 

5. Fees for officials.

• A. All fees for officials and physicians are to be paid by the promoter in the form of a money order or cashiers check and are to be received by the Supervising Commission or the ABC supervising member at least ten days prior to the event.

• B. The promoter shall pay the following expenses of the Supervising

Commission or for the ABC supervising members:

1. travel

2. accommodations

3. meals, and

4. fees.

 

 

6. Official Fees:

• A. Commission representative’s minimum of $350 per day, per person.

• B. Referees

1. minimum of $300 for TV shows or Title Fights.

2. minimum of $175 for club shows.

• C. Judges

1. minimum of $150 for TV shows or Title Fights.

2. minimum of $125 for club shows.

• D. Timekeepers

1. minimum of $150 for TV shows or Title Fights.

2. Minimum of $125 for club shows.

• E. Inspectors minimum of $100 for TV shows, Title Fights or club shows.

• F. Physicians

1. Minimum of $500 TV shows or Title Fights.

2. Minimum of $300 for club shows

3. Physicians that work the weigh-in receive an extra $250.

 

 

7. Number of Officials required

• A. Commissioners – Two

• B. A. Referees

1. Club shows – two referees

2. Title Fight, a minimum of three referees

• C. Judges

1. 6 Bouts or less – three Judges minimum

2. 7 Bouts or more – four Judges minimum

• D. Timekeepers

1. TV shows – Two minimum

2. Club shows – One minimum

• E. Inspectors

1. TV shows or Title Fights – Four minimum

2. Club shows – Two minimum

• F. Physicians

1. TV shows – Two minimum

2. Club shows – One minimum
