More Oregon Questions, I greatly appreciate everyone’s time in responding, with the common goal of making this sport safer.
Has anyone asked this question already, or do you already have any information/statistics?
We are looking to change our regulation from MMA, Boxing, and Kickboxing to “Unarmed Combat”
Do you happen to know how many and which commissions are already regulating Unarmed Combat, and/or moving to change their current regulation to “unarmed combat?

Thank you! Have an amazing day!

In Nebraska, we currently do not regulate kickboxing. I am hoping to see that change in the future. I think the term unarmed combat would be a good term to cover everything that we should be regulating.

In Wyoming, our statute Wyo. Stat. § 33-48-101 h iii reads:

“Unarmed combat” means any form of competition in which a blow is usually struck which may reasonably be expected to inflict injury”

It leaves it pretty wide open to interpretation which we appreciate.

    Hope this helps
