I have recently had a promoter of boxing call to schedule his show and his fight on the show! He has now stated that other states allow boxing promoters to also fight on their own show, please chime in on this!
BTW: Arkansas does not allow this!
I have seen it, not recently though. I honestly wouldn’t have a problem with it. You have control over his matched opponent, right? So you could make sure it was a competitive fight. The only issue would be if they had someone else “in charge” that you could get whatever decision(s) from if needeed.
I fought on many events that I promoted, either out of necessity (no show) or just to save money.
If that’s your stupidest question of the year, you’re lucky!
