ABC Certified Professional Boxing and MMA, Referee and Judge’s training for Officials
Saturday – November 21, 2026
- Boxing Referee Course 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Mixed Martial Arts Judges Course 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Sunday – November 22, 2026
- Boxing Judges Course 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Mixed Martial Arts Referee Course 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
The cost is $150 per person for one or two courses. No refunds.
Instructors:
The Boxing Referee course will be taught by Jack Reiss and the Boxing Judge course will be taught by David Sutherland. The Mixed Martial arts courses will be taught by Kevin MacDonald.
For officials taking the MMA Classes; Course attendees are responsible for understanding, explaining, and identifying common MMA positions and the following submission maneuvers: Anaconda Choke, Arm Triangle Choke, Buggy Choke, Ezekiel Choke, Guillotine Choke, Neck Crank, North South Choke, Rear Naked Choke, Triangle Choke (standard and inverted), Von Flue Choke, D’Arce Choke, Peruvian Necktie, Twister, Americana Armlock, Arm Bar Submissions, Keylock Submission, Kimura, Omaplata, Gogoplata, Wristlocks, Ankle Locks, Figure Four Toehold, Kneebar, and Heel Hooks (inside and outside).

The training will be held at the Highway Patrol Training Academy, 3318 Garner Road, Raleigh, NC 27610 (Building #4).
