In Nebraska, we use ABC trainers and both Kevin MacDonald and Rob Hinds use video footage in their exams.

In Nebraska, we currently do not regulate kickboxing. I am hoping to see that change in the future. I think the term unarmed combat would be a good term to cover everything that we should be regulating.

In Nebraska, we are self-funded, but in the event that we do not take in enough revenue to cover our costs, we are supported by THE Charitable Gaming agency (Keno, pickle cards, etc). Luckily, we haven’t had to use any of their money in the recent past.

I have seen it, not recently though. I honestly wouldn’t have a problem with it. You have control over his matched opponent, right? So you could make sure it was a competitive fight. The only issue would be if they had someone else “in charge” that you could get whatever decision(s) from if needeed.

I fought on many events that I promoted, either out of necessity (no show) or just to save money.

If that’s your stupidest question of the year, you’re lucky!

In Nebraska, we are not too picky as long as they are only using tape and gauze. Our rule is the guideline, but I have never measured, only checked finished product.

In Nebraska we don’t regualrly check bags, but would have the right if deemed necessary. We don’t have individual inspectors with fighters, except in world title bouts. I don’t care if they drink energy drinks or whatever in the back, but only water in the ring/cage. We only allow event cutmen/doctors to apply grease or other cut remedies. Only tape and gauze on the hand wraps.

In Nebraska, I just charge $150 for referees, $100 for judges and timekeepers for boxing and MMA. I generally figure a reasonable travel/hotel reimbursement if neccessary. Our inspectors are state employees and are paid a per diem rate of $90.
